With a thirteen year World Enduro Championship experience, Oriol Mena Valdearcos of Spain has joined the Hero MotoSports Team Rally to take part in Dakar 2018. The Spaniard also has 14 year experience in the Spanish Enduro Championship and has been the Enduro Junior World Champion in 2009. Mena has already begun training with the team for his participation at the Dakar rally next year.
The Hero MotoSports Team Rally came into existence in April, 2016 through a strategic partnership formed between Hero MotoCorp Ltd. and German off-road racing specialists - Speedbrain GmbH. In this span the team has achieved a 12th place finish at Dakar 2017, a win the India Baja and 3rd place finish at Desert Storm. In their 2nd year, the team is looking to expand their performance horizon and alongside their vision to promote the sport has begun indentifying and nurturing new talent.
